Educational Goals

• To train professionals who integrate advanced biomedical engineering technologies—such as medical imaging, biosignals, medical robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital healthcare—to create scientific discoveries, innovative products, and services that enhance human health and well-being.
• To provide in-depth study of the essential theories and practical skills in medicine, engineering, data science, mathematics, and statistics, which are necessary for designing and implementing convergent biomedical engineering systems.
• To identify unmet needs in real-world healthcare and biomedical engineering, and to provide problem-solving, practice-oriented education aimed at addressing these challenges.
• To cultivate creative, cross-disciplinary technical experts who can drive growth in key areas of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including AI, robotics, digital healthcare, and precision medicine.

• Core Knowledge Education:Deliver essential biomedical engineering courses in a concise, modular format, enhancing knowledge acquisition, collaboration among healthcare professionals, engineers, and data scientists, and the practical application of technologies.
• Building Convergent Expertise:Provide hands-on experience through capstone design projects, where students define clinical challenges and develop engineering- and data-driven solutions, complemented by field training at Hanyang University Hospital, healthcare tech companies, and medical AI and digital health startups.
