Educational Goals

• To cultivate professionals capable of generating scientifically grounded medical knowledge and driving innovation in healthcare services and policy by integrating advanced technologies across basic and clinical medicine, epidemiology, public health, statistics, and data science.​
• To provide a systematic exploration of the theories and methodologies in core disciplines essential for implementing convergent medical science systems, including basic and clinical medicine, data science, healthcare policy, epidemiology, and statistics.​
• To identify and address pressing healthcare challenges—such as aging populations, chronic diseases, infectious diseases, and health disparities—through rigorous scientific research, and to propose practical solutions in policy, research, and industry.
• To nurture technical and policy experts with creative, cross-disciplinary skills and strong data literacy, who can lead the future of healthcare, including digital health, precision medicine, and data-driven decision-making in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.​
• To train professionals who contribute to the innovation of healthcare systems both domestically and internationally through interdisciplinary collaboration and practical integration across medicine, public health, statistics, data science, and healthcare administration and policy.​

Expanding the Frontiers of Disease Research and Human Potential

• Core Knowledge Education: Deliver essential medical science curricula in a concise, modular format, while enhancing communication and collaboration skills for working with healthcare big data.
• Building Convergent Expertise: Provide practical, hands-on experience through project-based learning (PBL), capstone projects, and field training at Hanyang University Hospital, public health institutions, pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and healthcare policy agencies.​
• Developing Insight into Future Healthcare Systems: Foster understanding of emerging healthcare policies and industry trends through seminars and special lectures led by field experts.
