Introduction

The Cognitive Convergence Science Program at Hanyang University's Hanyang Inter-College is a convergence major established to open a new horizon where the human brain, mind, behavior, and technology meet. Based on creativity, insight, and collaboration, it presents a new paradigm. Cognitive Convergence Science deeply understands human cognitive abilities and solves problems or creates new knowledge by combining various disciplines and technologies. It is growing into an important leadership role in many fields through convergence with various NBIC (Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, Information technology and Cognitive science) technologies. This convergence major program aims to cultivate leaders who will lead world-class innovative convergence applications in the rapidly changing society of the 4th Industrial Revolution, digital transformation, and globalization.

Curriculum

• 2nd Year (Core Convergence Education): Acquire comprehensive theories in all fields of cognitive science and the basic principles of humanities, social sciences, psychology, medicine, and engineering, and complete major courses (introduction) dealing with conceptual foundations
• 3rd Year (Specialized Convergence Education): Complete advanced convergence-type required courses that strengthen the ability to deeply utilize major knowledge, and complete in-depth convergence courses utilizing convergence theme-based integrated education and research
• 4th Year (Integrated Curriculum): Provide customized track programs intensively, and complete courses and projects linked to graduate school admission in cognitive convergence science and various occupations/industries
